What Are Cookies?
“Cookies” should be understood as IT data, in particular text files, stored in end-user devices intended for the use of websites. These files allow to recognize the user’s device and properly display the website adapted to his individual preferences. “Cookies” usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, their storage time on the end device and a unique number.
Cookie files are used to adjust the content of the Website to match the preferences of the User and to optimize the use of the site; particularly these files make it possible to identify the User’s device and display the Website in a way that matches their individual needs
Removing and disabling cookies
In many cases, the software used to browse the web (the browser) allows cookies to be stored in the User’s device automatically. Website Users can change their cookies settings at any time. In particular, these settings can be changed in such a way, as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the User’s web browser settings, or to inform about each time they are stored on the User’s device. Detailed information about the possibilities and the way cookies are handled are available in the software settings (of the web browser) and in the help files available in the browser menu.
